Classes in 2010

Unfortunately I am not able to offer classes at this time but am hopeful for the opportunity to do so in the future. Prenatal yoga classes in Fort Collins are currently available at Old Town Yoga, Breathe Yoga, and through Poudre Valley Health System.

Join the Circle!

The Whole Birth® approach to prenatal yoga is anything but ordinary! Each 2-hour class includes time for both yoga and building community with other pregnant women. The yoga will help stretch, strengthen, and relax to prepare the body mind for birth and in the support circle our expectant moms can be "fully pregnant" - sharing the unique joys and challenges of pregnancy.

From the article "Whole Birth Yoga" by Robin Sale...

"Whole Birth means birthing in awareness with the whole of our body, mind, and spirit and knowing our place within the connectedness of all life. The word 'yoga' is from Sanskrit, the ancient language of India. It literally means 'to yoke', to bring together. Some interpret the word to mean union. What is it that is yoked, connected, or united? In the Whole Birth Yoga and Support class there are many kinds of connections happening. Women deepen their connection to their bodies and find more physical comfort while they experience the rapid and unfamiliar changes of pregnancy. Women connect with their hearts and minds as they settle into the silence and stillness of a meditative practice. Women connect with the baby growing inside of them, forming a loving bond even before birth. Women connect to each other, creating community in a rare atmosphere of trust and comeraderie where they can speak from their hearts. And, ultimately women come to know themselves as a part of something larger, and through this, connect to their own true nature."
